3D printing for refit and repair work in Victoria

A vessel in for refit gets measured, not looked up. The bracket that clears a pipe run, the template that transfers a hole pattern to a new plate, the guide that only makes sense on one hull: all of them come from dimensions taken off the ship.

We print them in MJF PA12, one at a time, and in a UV-stable FDM grade where the part stays on deck. The file goes on record, so the same part can be reprinted the next time the vessel comes in.

ITERATION

How does rapid prototyping work in Victoria?

Design work moves at the speed of your feedback loop. Test the fit, mark up what's wrong, send the new file, and the next version is in production before the week turns over, in materials built for the floor rather than the display shelf.

FAQ

Using a 3D printing service in Victoria

Yes. Parts are printed at our North Vancouver facility and go out by courier once they are packed. Which service carries them depends on where they are headed.

Choose Rush at three business days, Standard at five, or Economy at 10, plus the courier delivery time. Lead times start once the order is paid and the files are confirmed. The full breakdown of what each option covers is on the lead times page, including which parts qualify for Rush.

No. A single part gets quoted and printed the same way a batch does. Upload the file, set the quantity, and the price comes back for that quantity.
